Important NPCs

Alil

Daughter of a wealthy Graf, Alil has always been a lazy, selfish young woman. A trait encouraged by her psychologically abuseive mother. Alil is a compulsive liar and petty Thief.

When an enemy of her father kidnapped her to use for ransom, he simply told his rival he could keep her. This rival sold her into slavery on the Purple Islands out of spite. She has since moved from owner to owner until she ended up in the hands of the Athumn.

Alil has decided Mord is the toughest PC and attached herself to him. She hopes to wrap him around her little finger to have someone strong to keep her safe and comfortable... At least until she can get him to book safe passage for her back to the Western lands.

Benne

A minor hedge sorceress from the South, Benne dabbled in magics that she hoped would elevate her station, despite the ban on peasants learning spellcraft. She was caught long before she could go somewhere where Noone knew her and pretend to be a Mage-Yeoman. Her sentence was banishment to the Purple Isles. Of course, the moment she arrived the corrupt warden sold her to the Cult of Zygax-Xith. Her escape from the red priests only led her into the hands of the Athumn.

After the PCs rescued her, Benne tried to steal one of Jonas' spellbooks, but woke him. She thinking fast, she seduced him. In the morning, she told him she always wanted to learn magic, and he offered to teach her. She intends to stay with him... until she surpasses his ability.

Sarra

Beautiful and talented, the musician Sarra was pursued everywhere she went. Normally, she had little trouble letting suitors down gently until she ran afoul of lord Varrakas. The sociopathic noble had to have her. He threw wealth, promises, and luxuries at her. When she finally let herself be alone with him, he got very aggressive. And when she said no, he tried to force himself on her. For his trouble she gave him a black eye and a ruptured testicle.

His revenge was to have her arrested and transported to the Purple Isles, where her handsome salre price paid him back tenfold the treasure he'd showered her with.

Sarra is barely holding it together. All she wants is to be safe and in a quiet place. Between a few masters and then the Athumn, she is Luck to be alive.

Jamart

An Alchemist with high hopes, Jamart joined Sir Cuthbert's first expedition a couple of years ago, hopi g to fill a notebook on the Medicinal substances and herbs of the Purple Islands. Sadly, his survival skills were poor and he ended up indebted to sponsors. To pay off his debts a D keep his gear, he took to making drugs. Mostly for the Cult of Zygax-Xith. They were careful not to be too generous, however, and he has been forced to live in various ruins in the jungle. When the Athumn found and enslaved him it was just another lump of bad luck.

Korl

The party's trusty sherpa, Korl knows much of Kravian and it's factions. For an incredible 1,000sp he led the PCs out of Kravian to Broken Cliff

Wene

A cook from the distant Aeshsterlands, Wene was shipwrecked on Koris and quickly enslaved by some wandering adventurers looking for an easy way to make coin. She has served a few different organizations, always with the same skill: the ability to make almost anything taste good. She seeks someone who will pay in coin rather than lashes, ideally.

Kadoz, the Fishwife

High Priestess of Mother Hydra, Kadoz wields incredible power in Broken Cliff, which she flaunts with brutal enforcement. She claims to be at war with the Cult of K'tulu in order to save her Aunt and Sister from them, and hired the PCs to steal the Necronomicon from the Grotto of the Ape-Men, in return for the deed to the old watchtower at Broken Cliff and the staff to keep it up.

She is the closest thing this group has to a patron at the moment, though all fear her and none trust her.
